Yamato launches high-speed multihead weigher

Yamato Scale Dataweigh has launched a brand new, high-speed addition to its multihead-weighing portfolio. Aimed predominantly at the food, confectionery, snack, powder and detergent sectors, the Dataweigh Omega applies groundbreaking technology to improve productivity – operating at speeds of more than 200 weighments per minute (WPM) and increasing yield weights of up to 1.6%. The system also boasts improved environmental responsiveness – by offering a reduction in power consumption of 60% – ease-of-operation and food safety.


Yamato Scale Dataweigh appoints new MD

Yamato Scale Dataweigh, the world’s leading manufacturer of multihead weighers and checkweighers, has announced the appointment of Neil Fowell as the new Managing Director of its UK, Scandinavian, Middle East and South African business.

Neil will take charge of the Leeds-based business replacing Mr Watanabe who has returned to the group headquarters in Japan. His first major project will be overseeing the launch of the company’s new Omega Series Multihead weigher which was introduced onto the UK market at Interpack in May.
